Flying Fish

We have just spent an hour at my work, on a Saturday! Last night we made lots and lots of fish, that I found via Joel Henriques on Pinterest. I think Freya would have happily spent the whole day launching them from the second floor and filming them tumbling. They are very easy to make and great fun even throwing them up in the air or from from the top of the stairs.

Christopher Marvell sculpture

Yesterday we squelched through the harbour at Kinghorn watching tiny (thumbnail sized) flounders darting in the shallow pools, in their honour I bring you Christopher Marvell's lovely cast bronze fish.

Christopher Marvell

Christopher Marvell loves the foundry and sculpting, but he also makes very wonderful dry point etchings, where the humans body or thoughts are echoed by their zoomorphism or animal companions.
