Yesterdays Salmon reminded me of Fishes by Brian Wildsmith a beautiful book which has the collective nouns for various species of fish including a glide of flying fish, a hover of trout and a party of rainbow fish.
A treat for me too to see these gorgeous Brian Wildsmith pictures! In our last house, I stippled the bathroom with splashy blue and white paint and cut out Brian Wildsmith fish and stuck them all over the walls. It wasn't a very big room, so gave a fantastic feeling of being in a fishy wet world.
I love Brian Wildsmith, he's one of my favourites, such an amazingly talented illustrator.
