The hands in Nadav Weisman's musicians are fascinating the tiny hands of the pianist poised, the vast percussionist hands manipulating the triangle and the ballet like hands of the conductor, hands that are visually supplying the music of the composition.

Nadav Weisman II
Last week, I received a gentle, poetic, joy of a book all the way from Israel by Nadav Weisman. I wonder how many post men and women embraced this book as it made its long journey to Scotland.
Inspired by graphic design and modernist artist David Hockney, Nadav studied Visual Communication at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem, Israel.
This is his limited edition artist book called; 'I've Made Myself A Notebook', printed with text in Hebrew and English and including beautiful pages of sketchbook illustrations. It is a gentle whisper of minimalist illustrations, that have a Japanese elegance and quality.
"I began using sketchbooks to collect various images, some collective and some private: scenes from movies I've enjoyed, photographs I have taken, beautiful fonts. These notebooks answered my need for design and curatorship, as well as for art collecting." Nadav Weisman
It is a tender personal book full of love, treat yourself!

Vered Gersztenkorn I
The work of Vered Gersztenkorn is so appealing, so expressive and loose, textured with line and colour and text mashed together to make rich, lively captures of thoughts and memories.
“I approach my work spontaneously, without knowing what I’m going to paint, according to how I feel at the moment, so it’s always a new adventure in form, color, ranging from abstract to figurative. I enjoy being on the edge of going lost and having control on my work. This is the place where I find most of my inspiration.” Vered Gersztenkorn

Tal R
An Israeli artist living in Denmark Tal R's work is loud in colour and action, it can be very graffiti like and primitive, abstract or painterly, he is prolific as his work is busy. I really like the graphic simplicity of the top image called Klap and clumsy from 2008 I hope you find something in this artists vast portfolio. (thanks)

Andi Arnovitz

I have been amazed at the power of Andi Arnovitz's work today. Her garments are incredible and I loved the idea of these Matryoshka portraits, what an amazing way this would be to produce a family tree. This piece is called 'A Quiet row of Women' and is a hand bound book of the poem in Hebrew and English with five wooden dolls wrapped in paper mache.

Guy BEN-NER Wild Boy
Stills from Guy Ben-ner's film: Wild Boy, where he enacts finding a wild child (his son). This film makes me want to install a hill in my house. I love the fact the family pets; rabbits, hamster and budgies are free in the space.

Tamar Morgendorff

I have spent most of the day searching for Tamar Morgendorff. I was desperate to find her strange and fantastic vegetable's again. At last I have found these quite potato like root vegetables, and I am happy.
