Happy New Year.
I have choosen this picture by Emilia Dziubak as at New Year many brave people dive into freezing waters to mark a fresh start and a new challenge.
Very Best Wishes to you all for New Year may you be happy, healthy and full of creative joy.
Make a Mermaid or Triton tail and head for water on New Years Day, then send me a picture here I will post some of the resulting mermaids and mermen during first few days of the New Year. Costumes included here are by the wonderful Julia Bornefeld.
Raced back to Kirkcaldy from a night under Edinburgh Castle to witness the madness that is the Loony Dook. Couldn't see my fish swimming but I did see lots of very brave brave people.
Happy New Year!!!! I am hopefully going to witness the Kirkcaldy Loony Dook today. This is where lots of crazy people brave the estuary of the Forth and welcome in the New Year with a feat of endurance. They requested Ursula but she was too big and too damaged. So I have in the last few days of 2011 been making some fish head pieces (at least the wind won't get in their ears) from some spare pieces of plastic and sticky mirror and quality street wrappers.
It is that time . . . When all around the world we are watching our clocks for the same time, but different times. So whenever your clock rings in the New Year, with bells, ticks, chines or cuckoo's, I am wishing you love, joy, health and happiness for the coming year. (Illustration)
Wishing you all a happy and healthy New Year for 2011 xxxxx I always find it a tricky time and have overpowering desires to clean the fridge and cooker etc. I hope you have more enjoyable ways of moving from one year to the next. X
I hope you all have a great New Year 2010. I found this wonderful image at Julia's Flickr she has wonderful collections of retro objects and vintage books that I know many of you would like.
