My last (I think!) mail art for Paul Smith.
This time I wanted to make a textile parcel, because when we were travelling around India over 20 years ago, we sent some parcels home and they were sewn into a calico wrap with wax seals and they looked magical.
So I have made another pigeon this time in calico, I wanted to include some pigeon food, so I made pigeon eggs from rice paper and stuffed them with corn. I had to pack the pigeon with bubble wrap to try protect the eggs.
THese birdies for the new shop are terrific !! ( I wish it had on my address!!) please post the pics when up in situ.
ReplyDeleteYou've overpassed yourself!!! Hope your pigeons will be welcomed as honour guests...
ReplyDeleteThis is so fun & so AWESOME! I love the whole concept, the eggs and the sewn address. Really inspiring!
