Deer by Karlee Rawkins

I like the way Karlee's deer grow into there environment and visa vera, there antlers sprout into foliage or their backs develope into thickets, and again the colour is just the tonic needed for the first day of winter.

Karlee Rawkins II

I am hungry for colour again and for me it is like a hunger. So I am revisiting Australian artist Karlee Rawkins with her vibrant colour and exciting visually stimulating style.

Karen Shapiro

Karen Shapiro is fantastic, she makes crazy ceramics based on real branded items but with such skill that they are completely believable. Karen has a pharmacy of drugs, tins and tubes. A cosmetic stall with mascara, lipstick and face powder. Food, do you want Frosties, Mayonnaise, mustard or sweets? Or maybe you need some matches and house hold oil? Karen has made them all accurately and beautifully.

Lisa Kokin

Lisa Kokin has a keen sense of humour, I love the fact that the very beautiful Panacea series is constructed from a self-help books. (images) "We are all fine just as we are, its the books that need to change." Lisa Kokin.
"It is clear that Kokin relishes both the challenge and the joy of using all parts of the book: the paper can be pulped and shaped; the mull sewn into tapestries; the covers stuffed into football-petaled flowers or sewn into quilt, and the headbands turned into flowers. these are all talismans and tokens of hope and beauty and change and reminders that we shouldn't take ourselves too seriously." Michael Cutlip II

Michael Cutlip

Michael Cutlip I

Michael Cutlip's paintings are strata's, layered or peeled, they mimic street art and the degradation of hoardings and graffiti in there eroded nature. Michael's paintings also have that precious quality of refinement some resemble beautiful patchwork quilts or carefully curated collections, all have precious details and choreographed collisions of imagery.
