Matías Krahn III

Matías Krahn is a Chilean artist based in Barcelona he does bold abstract impasto paintings full of colour and joy. I featured his work on this blog many years ago and it is interesting to see how his work is evolving, becoming calmer and simpler in its compositions.

Matias Krahn II

These paintings by Matias Krahn are like a party in my eyes, exuberant exciting and visually noisy, also because of the horizontal divide they remind me of tables of party food or indeed, with all that energy, a food fight.

Matias Krahn

Matias Krahn is a Chilean artist now settled in Barcelona. Krahn's works are usually anchored to a phrases from a poem or literature. Krahn's paintings, I am happy to say, are constantly evolving and this evolution is interesting to observe through his past exhibitions.
