A breath takingly beautiful, kinetic installation by Juan Fontanive, please go and see his ornithology and vivarium works, you will not be disappointed in his stunningly beautiful flip book machines made with watercolor and image transfer onto bristol paper, with steel, aluminum clockwork and electronics. They are really hypnotic.

Vollis Simpson

Vollis Simpson started this amazing work in the mid 1980's. What began as a hobby for himself, and entertainment for his neighbours, has grown into a wonder, a giant kinetic art installation. It has also given this 91 year old retired agricultural equipment engineer, a second vocation as a renowned artist. The colour and energy of this field of whirligigs and windmill sculptures is breathtaking. I love these wild feats of creativity, they are life affirming, wonders of the world.
