holiday. Inspired by flea circuses, I penned a head lice circus, it helps me cope with the constant battle that we have been engaged in. I like the trapeze artists best.

Insects in the Kitchen, Little Wonders By Sayaka Yamamoto

''When I was little I lived in the countryside, very close to the world of insects. I always enjoyed watching their many different shapes, colors and behavior – sometimes they made me scared and sometimes fascinated me. After I moved away from my parents’ house to the big city, I was seeing less insects and I almost started forgetting the great times I spent with them.''
Sayaka Yamamoto
Sayaka Yamamoto has created these fab insects, as well as many other strange and wonderful things.

Midges drinking at the bar of human kindness.

This wonderful cold weather will hopefully be killing lots of midges in the soil.
Here is an illustration I did of them, called, 'Drinking at the bar of human kindness', last autumn.
I don't usually wish anything dead, midge's are an exceptional exception that anyone camping in a Scottish summer would understand.
