This wonderful cold weather will hopefully be killing lots of midges in the soil. Here is an illustration I did of them, called, 'Drinking at the bar of human kindness', last autumn.
I don't usually wish anything dead, midge's are an exceptional exception that anyone camping in a Scottish summer would understand.
