Valerio Vidali III
I found Gianni Rodari's 'Novelle Fatte a Macchina' with illustrations by Valerio Vidali at the Mambo book shop. I love Valerio's illustrations and in this novel, I really liked her use of crumpled paper for the crushed car and her use of quite large black shapes in her compositions is interesting in that it both anchors the pictures and creates an unsettling element.
