Fong Qi Wei

I couldn't resist Fong Qi Wei's 'Exploded Flower' series this morning, just for the colour and exuberance. Fong Qi Wei is a Chinese photographer, he wanted to capture the symmetry but also all the individual floral components (Thanks).

Claire Basler

Claire Basler is a French painter of flora, who uses monumental scale, her works remind me of the great French painters, an obvious analogy being Monet.
Claire also designs ceramics and textiles. I love the scale of her work, and the obvious enthusiasm and love of her subject.

The first day of Spring

My new favourite thing is climbing on board those huge flower lorries from Holland, breathing deep and letting the flowers tickle my eyes with colour.
However today I didn't take my chances I asked my local florist Canterbury Bells, Kirkcaldy, when the delivery was arriving and just caught it, have some flowers, today it is SPRING.
