Maria Ginnerup I

It has been a few years now since my friend and former colleague Maria Ginnerup returned to her homeland of Denmark. After years of working as an art therapist in Scotland, it is wonderful to see her reclaiming her own creativity in these decorative portraits.

Anne-Sophie Rosenvinge Skov

Anne-Sophie Rosenvinge Skov's lovely tear drop shaped textile book 'Through the Eyes of a Lonely Kitten' is sensual and full of texture, textiles, memories and found treasures.
"... Betty Lou, a lonely household cat with no one to play with, gets a brilliant idea and turns the mundane into magical worlds of making and messing, deconstructing and reconstructing in order to master her own happiness"                                  Anne-Sophie Rosenvinge Skov
Anne-Sophie works across many disciplines including illustration, design and landscape architecture.

Annemette Lichtenberg I

A riot of line, colour and ideas, these are some examples of the work of Danish artist Annemette Lichtenberg. Annemette's works have a surreal abstraction, and are almost dream like in their boundless mix of elements from daily life.

Anne Tholstrup III

Last post on Anne Tholstrup, these paintings remind me of chalk boards, again the simplicity and style is wonderful.

Anne Tholstrup II

My second post of the day on the work of Danish painter Anne Tholstrup.

Anne Tholstrup I

Beautiful, clear, crisp paintings by Danish artist Anne Tholstrup, remind me of crisp white snowy mornings with brightly dressed children playing.

Númi Thorvarsson

These pictures by Numi Thorvarsson are just wonderful. They are winter to me, they are empty and full, they have no colour and yet they have amazing colour, they are sad and yet very beautiful.
