Alice and Martin Provensen



My friend Lizzy lent us this wonderful book, 'Aesops Fables selected and adapted by Louis Untermeyer published in 1965' whilst we were away. It features the fantastic illustrations of Alice and Martin Provensen, both from Chicago this couple worked on classics of animation; Martin collaborating at the Walt Disney studios on Dumbo, Fantasia and Pinocchio and Alice working with Walter Lantz studios the creators of Woody Woodpecker.     Beautiful!
    I love the Provensens, and Our animal friends at Maple Hill Farm was one of our family's favorite read-alouds when the girls were little. BTW, did you ever get my little package?
