Nancy Elizabeth Barnhart's (1889–1964) illustrated version of 'The Wind in the Willows' published in America 1933 by Charles Scribner and sons. There is little information about Nancy other than she worked as a painter, illustrator and cartoonist. She was born in St. Louis 1889 she spent much of her life there, but at some point moved to Paris.
