Sabine Rufener II

Sabine Rufener's 'Whale in the Garden' One morning a whale is in the garden and has flattened it and Lille's bike!
She is not best pleased and the whale is in a bad mood, grumpy, stubborn and reproachful, however with time the whale and the girl learn to get on. AS time passes the large whale becomes small small enough to go in Lile's bucket and be returned to the sea he so longs for.
I love the textures in this book, it has a delicate richness which compliments the surreal nature of the story.
