Raining birds

I don't really understand how people, after this summer, cannot be concerned or worried. 

The news is full of, 'Oh! we will have to adapt our roads, railways . . . houses' ect. While the truth is we cannot adapt because while we are, the world that we are relying on is dying. Soil organisms die at 36 degrees, birds are dropping from the sky, there is no adapting only a concerted effort by all nations to stop emissions, cooperate and invest in science and engineering, so that we have tools to create a stable ecosystem again.
