Steve Griffin was a photo-realist painter in the 1960's and 1970's. Now Steve has moved towards abstraction allows for a much more interaction with the painting process. This series of paintings entitled "Strata" began in spring 2007, Steve applies multiple layers of paint, which are eventually sanded and scraped to reveal previously forgotten colours and textures.
