Lorraine Wake

Lorraine Wake paints furniture like an oasis or island, her beds are particularly poignant and beautiful. A bed can be many things a symbol of love, death, illness, dream and sleep.
"My paintings of interiors develop associations with time and place, where everyday objects suggest intimacy yet without human presence. The compositions arouse curiosity and invite questions about what may have happened or what is about to begin." Lorraine Wake

  1. Lovely, they are very similar to the paintings of Marilyn Browning. She also paints beds and chairs and other still life objects.
