Make-Up

Freya, akin to her brother, loves painting herself, here she is in true Geisha Glory. I don't like make up but if I did, this is how I would like to apply it.

The Tiger Skin Rug by Gerald Rose

This Book by Gerald Rose is a dream, both my children continue to love it, its illustrations are fabulous and the story is just wonderful. It was published in 1979 by Faber and Faber, oh !that you could petition for books to be reprinted , if you can find a copy it comes highly recommended.

The Big Draw 2008

For three years now we have participated in the Big Draw.
The first year 2006 everyone created an amazing rendition of the Forth Rail Bridge.
In 2007 we attempted a pop art version of Adam Smith.
For 2008 everyone participated in creating Big Heids, (big heads) here are some of them and more are available to view on flikr at thebigdraw group. The Big Draw is a wonderful challenge and it is great to get people 'drawing' who wouldn't normally, their enthusiasm was amazing.http://www.flickr.com/groups/809726@N24/

Dulux Colour Charts

Unfortunately for my local hardware shops I have developed a passion for paint colour strips. This seems to be highly contagious as my daughter has the same problem as do many of my students. I would like to share some of the results.
Above is a strange bird in my room, Below is my Crocodile Smile:
Above is my daughter Freya's wonderful, Tree.

The Roundabout Project

The magic roundabout visited a real roundabout spring 2008. As ever it was exhilarating and frightening, as distracted motorists sometimes looked away from the road for a little too long. Ermintrude (cow) is now visiting a local doctors surgery as decoration.

This was the second roundabout project completed by my students.
It is a great gorilla art project that has become an annual event.

The students were fantastic, patiently working on these figures for months.
The original roundabout project was 'Roundabout Dogs', inspired by a family wedding where dogs had to be created and photographed on roundabouts on route to the celebration.
This year several groups of students are working on roundabout projects, one is giant litter and another is giant seagulls.
