This Book by Gerald Rose is a dream, both my children continue to love it, its illustrations are fabulous and the story is just wonderful. It was published in 1979 by Faber and Faber, oh !that you could petition for books to be reprinted , if you can find a copy it comes highly recommended.

ReplyDeleteReally? The illustrations are "fabulous" ? ? ? ? They depict Indians as hideous and ugly. Indian women do not wear mid-riff tops... This is an unsightly representation of Indian culture.
