Oh! the potatoes made me laugh

I have always loved drawing faces on fruit and veg but there is always someone who will take it a stage further. Thank you Ginou Choueiri, please check out her web page.
Ginou is a Lebanese artist living in Beirut she is a talented painter and here has turned her hand to potatoes, for as she says, there is a great similarity between us and this root vegetable. (found on wooster collective)

Mary Catherine Newcomb's Aubergine Saints

I was trying to find some images of my favourite painters work, when I stumbled upon these haunting vegetables. They are the work of Sculptor Mary Catherine Newcomb from Southern Ontario. This series, called the Eden Project, started in 2006 when Mary started cultivating 'saint' bushes. In 2007 she moved onto larger squashes and chili Demons. They are created with a transparent mold placed around the fruit when it is just set. http://www.newcombalia.ca/Site/home.html
