Dagmara Rudkin I

I am away this week, enjoying visiting friends and relatives and as a result I have been able to catch the Brighton University MA show in Photography and Illustration which is on until this Friday.
Dagmara Rudkin has just gradated from the University of Brighton in MA Sequential Design / Illustration, she works with recycled and found objects creating her characters from rescued scraps of other peoples lives and giving them a new purpose and magic in her illustrations and animations.

Lulu Allison makes delicate, transient pieces of work, cut from newspaper crossing headlines, adverts and features that are themselves transient in our consciousness." ...Most of my work still lies with the unfixed, such as works in newspaper put up in the wild, town or country. They last a short time, a temporary intervention in spaces decorated by sprayed graffiti, spilled paint, decay, the slow changing forms of plants."
