I was bought a wonderful vintage children's book yesterday, by my oldest friend Raina.
Fun and Games written by Barbara Kruger Bate and illustrated by Bill Sokol.
This book features Leon the Lion, and lovely activities. The beautiful illustrations almost look like they have been coloured by children and are simple and perfect.
I have this book too! When I was little, a retired teacher let kids come to her home and pick out books. Nothing creepy or weird back then! She honestly had a basement full of books, and just gave them to kids when they would come over, "For Books".
ReplyDeleteThe illustrations are crisp, clean and primary colored. This book in some way inspired me. I am an Art teacher, and love, love this book.
