Xia Nan


Last night I went with Freya to catch a glimpse of the wonderful, larger than life Chinese warrior lanterns by Xia Nan are being displayed in Edinburgh for a week until February the 7th to mark the Chinese New Year. The multi-coloured lanterns were created by Chinese artist Xia Nan for the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008. They are very enigmatic, and powerful, lighting up the Old College quadrangle. If you can, brave the weather, and go and see them.
