Mien Wong

These are the work of Mien Wong a paper mache bowl with dried gourds all coated in different surfaces, delicate, beautiful and magical.

Today I am off to visit The Tate in St Ives happy and scared as every time I have ever been in a Tate I have been told off . . . wish me luck.

    1. The last time it was for taking a photograph (a bit like telling me not to breathe).
I had positioned my son (then aged 6) and his friend on the floor under a sculpture of a piano (they did not know it was about to explode, I did) and I took a photo of them jumping out of their skins C-:
It is a good photo I still have it somewhere.

  3. I've been there years ago... such wonderful place actually... and not only for the Tate. I'm plenty of good memories of St Ives, included a swim in the coldest sea I've never "tasted" (I've been teeth chattering for half an hour soon after, I couldn't stop!)...
