Takefumi Takeyami tae I

I found Takefumi Takeyami tae at four o'clock in the morning on the last day of November, she is a Japanese woodcut artist/ illustrator who has just published a book about a Sunfish. In trying to find out more about this book I eventually found her website and some wonderful work, inspired by nature called 'I first saw it when I noticed it'. Here are some of her studies of pigeons.

Hilke MacIntyre

Above: The Tale Of The Crail Whale, Below: Harbour
Below: Crail
I am really enjoying monotone, woodcut style work at the moment, so the work of Hilke is just perfect. Hilke is another illustrator and ceramicist you can see more of her and her husbands work here: http://www.macintyre-art.com/
