Adam Kilian III

 

Last year Donatella Crippa visited Warsaw and photographed these incredible puppets by Adam Killian from the 1958 show “O Zwyrtale muzykancie-Zwyrtala the fiddler”, directed by Jan Wilkowski.  I have had the images saved and wanted to share them because they are just so joyous, I would love to go and see them myself at some point.

Taili Wu

I have fallen in love with this surreal alphabet animation by Taili Wu created using stop motion animation with hand made puppets. Taili was born in Taiwan and now working as a designer & artist working with illustration, stop motion and ceramics in New York.

Dunja Schandin I

Dunja Schandin is a German paper mache artist and puppet maker, based in Mannheim, who has been increasing animating her sculptures with a simple kinetic mechanisms, including flying seagulls and cranes that have a delicate, fragile beauty.

Maria Dubrovskaya

 Maria Dubroskaya is a Russian artist, living in the Philippines, who currently has an etsy shop selling these intricate, articulated paper puppets. Maria also makes beautiful windowed moleskins, jewellery and  photography.
