Tom Wilson II

Tom Wilson's work is documentation and meticulous observation from nature and from gathered natural findings. His house holds the makings of a fantastic museum of bird pellets, hides, bones, skulls, nests and other untold and unspeakable treasures, that hopefully will one day be available to everyone through a museum or series of books.

Sharon Beals

Sharon Beals is a photographer from San francisco.
These images are from her book 'Fifty Nests and the Birds that Built Them '.

“What has been made so clear to me it that so many of the
decisions I make in my daily life affect their survival. What I plant in my
yard, what coffee I buy, what I put down the drain or into the atmosphere, or
where I let my dog or cat wander – all of this matters. A lot….It was only after
making the first photograph of a nest, drawn to its palette and messy, yet
graceful and functional form, that I knew I had found my medium – or at least a
way that I could be a medium for the birds.” Sharon Beals
