Above: Marina Henina

It’s a last day of #theimaginedbookcover2025 and the prompt is Becky Pinkerton's Bicycle'. What is wonderful about Monty's challenges is that you find so many wonderful illustrators and that it is an incredible supportive welcoming community. Please check out all of the artists links on their names and see what joy you can find in these marvellous portfolios.

"Book Series Challenge - Pinocchio "

The 7 prompts for the next challenge in the Book Series: Pinocchio:

1. It was a wild and stormy night. Pinocchio had a great fear of thunder but hunger was stronger than fear, he therefore made a rush to the village.

2. The embraces that Pinocchio received from the excited actors and actresses (all puppets) of the puppet company beat description.

3. But Pinocchio had not gone far when he met on the road a fox lame with one foot and a cat blind with both eyes...

4. The doctors came immediately one after the other: namely a crow, an owl and a talking cricket.

5. Pinocchio swam and swam but to his surprise he found himself enclosed in a great net, together with a swarm of fish of every size and shape, who were flapping and struggling like so many desperate souls.

6. Pinocchio (who'd turned into a donkey) was sold to the director of a company of buffoons and tightrope dancers, who bought him that he might teach him to leap and dance with the other animals.

7. Pinocchio, who took the candle in his hand, and Gepetto climbed up the throat of the sleeping sea monster and having reached his immense mouth they began to walk on tiptoe down his tongue. ......

The challenge will start on the 4th of March and will run for 7 days so there's plenty of time to prepare.
