Marika Maijala V

Having once owned a rescue greyhound, I cannot tell you how much I would love a copy of Marika Maijala's book about Rosie the greyhound 'Ruusun Matka /Rosie's Journey. It seems impossible to get here, especially now that we are cut off from the world and our European friends and neighbors.
Rosie is a racing greyhound who one day after winning the race, just carries on running, and in this beautiful book, you can see where she runs to.

ISIA Urbino I

One of the great developments at this years fair was the increasing opportunity for participation in masterclasses and surgeries. One platform for creativity was provided by ISIA Urbino, who provided posters with triggers of shape and colour to free the imagination and for a while and lose oneself, from the hustle of the fair, in a pause of creativity. Below are some examples of different creative interpretation of the shapes.

Marika Maijala IV

I was reminded of Marika Maijala's work this week with these wonderful drawings. I especially like the sleeping bag ones they look so cozy and comfortable.

Marika Maijala III

Marika Maijala 's lovely, gentle, quiet illustrations always seem to have a wonderful slow pace, this one is very clever with it's subtly layered pattern.
You can feel the silence of snow in this picture.
