Timurid Beasties

I am off to Edinburgh today to see 'Timurid Beasties' at the Nomads Tent and the vast array of  treasures that Summer Hall has to offer. Above are some of the Timurid beasties, exquisite Asiatic Tiger rugs from Iran.

Iranian Enamel

Pictured above is exquisite enamelware from Esfahan, part of the Museums 'Shah 'Abbas' the remaking of Iran, each piece is signed by the artist who created it. The Shah Abbas exhibition ran from March to June of this year, it showcased the work of great craftsmen and women from Iran. The museum shop is still exhibiting works for sale by the talented crafts people working to retain and recreate craft traditions of their country.
