Hans Fischer II

More magic from Hans Fischer, this time 'The Birthday' originally published in 1947. Lisette goes to town and meanwhile her animals create a wonderful birthday party for her to enjoy, with cake, a candlelit walk and finally new kittens to meet.

Hans Fischer I

The Brothers Grimm; 'The Adventures of Chanticleer and Partlet" with incredible lithograph illustrations by Hans Fischer (January 6, 1909 – April 19, 1958), Published in 1950. I cannot believe that I have not covered the work of Swiss artist Hans Fischer before as I own and love the book Pitschi, so I will hav to dig out and share some more treasures by this beautiful illustrator.
