'The Spotted Dotted Puppy' written by Steffi Fletcher, illustrated by Art Seiden published in 1961. A wonderful cover and character. The spotty puppy just wants to be itself and find a lovely owner, other puppies want to be more 'exotic' creatures and end up behind bars in the zoo.
