Sita Jucker IV

Sita Jucker (1921- 2003) was a Swiss illustrator who mainly illustrated children's and young adult books. These illustrations are from 'Angus' by Hans Carl Artmann. A story about a seal finding a new home at a lighthouse.

Unfortunately for Angus he does not move in alone, with the lighthouse now well supplied another resident is tempted.

This mouse scares poor Angus and he nearly falls of his chair, but worse is to come as the mouse also invites his friends and family to share the bounty of Angus's well stocked cupboards.

Poor Angus could hear the mouse party and rightly feared for his supplies. He knew he must do something.

So he dressed up as a giant cat to scare the mice away.

Leaving him in peace to enjoy his new home.
