What a joy these limited palette illustrations by Evaline Ness are. These are from the book 'Favourite Fairy Tales Told in Italy' re-told by Virginia Haviland published 1965.

Evaline initially trained as a school librarian before re-training as a Fashion illustration, eventually in 1957 she devoted herself to children's book illustration and illustrated over thirty children's books.
