I have become uniformed, the information highway of the internet becomes more of a swamp daily and I am turning off apps, turning off news, turning off!!!!
My whole life I have worked, demonstrated and fought for good and right in the world but currently I feel cheated and beaten. Fairness and democracy a facade, like the curtain in 'The Wizard of Oz '. Things are done by governments of countries in the name of their citizens, that the majority of the people are vehemently against. Nothing is being done for the good of the planet, it's animals, ecosystems and of course its people.
War war war . . . the heat turns up!
My daughter informs me that 'The Hobbit' has been banned in Trump's America, or the current Republican states, and ponders the insanity of this as she watches Margaret Attwood's 'Handmaids Tale' another banned book! This one requires no pondering as to why the incoming administration would wish it banned.
Anyway I was reminded of the insanely, wonderful illustrations of Tove Jansson for Tolkien's classic and thought today a good time to share them.
