How can I say this . . . I don't like gnomes, specifically garden gnomes which litter the place, cluster together in ever burgeoning populations and generally accompany a whole load of tat and clutter, so gnomes as a challenge was BIG. However after some research I was chuckling away drawing gnomes for 'The Gnomes Pet Shop' a book of mini beast care.
I particularly enjoyed drawing my daughter as a female gnome riding a slug, she particularly didn't and asked me if I was pleased with myself . . . which I had to admit 'yes' to.
The beetle man above is based on a dear friend and neighbour, and the worm walking gnome, well I love the worms happy wagging tail.
