The Ragamuffin King written by Walter Kreye ,illustrated by Adam Wurtz 1971. Is about a king who is very poor and loves nothing better than his garden. He is obsessed with planting beautiful golden flowers instead of growing food to eat, luckily the court jester thinks of a solution.
