It was great to meet Emma Barnie @barnieart and. Boudicca Collins @boudiccapaloma on a cold and sometimes wet February week as they created a mural in Kirkcaldy, Fife, and to witness the murals speedy evolution.
The mural was created in time for for International Woman's day, to honour the achievements of Kath Duncan (1888-1954) who fought fiercely for social equality and justice, she was an important campaigner for the National Unemployed Workers Movement (NUWM), organising large demonstrations. In the 1930s, much of Duncan's time was devoted to opposing fascism, she took part in the Battle of Cable Street. She was also central to the Aid to Spain movement during the civil war.
