Yesterday I made time to see an exhibition by Glaswegian artist Norman Gilbert 1926-2019 at The Tramway in Glasgow. His works have a very distinct style, flat colour, often vibrant with a cacophony of pattern which drew inspiration from his domestic life and family.
Some works were monochrome again with distinctive compositions of pattern which secured the image.
