Art in Exile by Mehdi Jalalaghdamian will be on display at Firstsite, Colchester. The exhibition will evolve over a year, inspired and influenced by Mehdi’s UK experiences, responses from visitors and the community. Currently seeking asylum in the UK, Mehdi draws attention to the experiences of refugees and asylum seekers worldwide through the traditional craft of Persian rug making.
