This week I have been working on the challenge of cassette tapes posed by The Edinburgh Collage Collective. Here are some of the submissions by artists so far.

CASSETTE TAPE Collages, Edinburgh Collage Collective is launching an online Open Submission Project inviting collage artists to make work incorporating the cassette tape as a visual starting point. Play and Record invites global collage artists to explore the concept of cassette tape through the medium of collage. Be playful and have fun!
A wide range of submitted work will be featured via our ECC social media channels. We plan to create an A5 print publication showcasing a variety of the works submitted. To submit your work and get involved please use #eccplayandrecord2021 or tag us in on Instagram
Project Specifications: You may choose to use the tape cassette in any formation, such as incorporating it into a collage or collaging onto the cassette tape or by using the spooled tape itself. We welcome both analog and digital. Closing Date is Sunday 11th July 2021
The artists selected for the publication will be contacted directly by email and announced publicly through the ECC website and social media.
