I remember seeing this book a while ago and wanting to feature it but it slipped by.
Alice Lima de Faria has created a book about friendship and jealousy 'Fuglefesten', or 'Bird Party'. The birds are having a fabulous fun party, everyone is invited. Well ... all except Flaps. because Flaps is nocturnal and the party is in the morning! But Flaps is upset and steals the party invitation from her friend Mark, to try to prove that she can stay awake for a party!
But it is not as fun as Flaps had hoped and it is very difficult to stay awake.
Alice Lima de Faria explores opposites and contrapositions and shows that it is possible to be friends and not get jealous, if we accept and appreciate each other's individual characteristics.
