Little Boy Brown by Isobel Harris, illustrated by André François (1915 – 2005), originally published in 1949 republished in 2013 a joy of a book about a boy struggling with city life where no one goes outside. He gets taken to the countryside one day by Kind Hilda and he loves the life in Hilda's family home and the fun, and the noise, and the animals.  André François's drawings are full of observational gems and humor.
