André François (1915-2005) was a Hungarian born French illustrator whose work has fantastic subtle humour and is full of character and expression. It reminds me strongly of Gerald Rose's work that I greatly admire. These are illustrations from his version of "The Adventures of Ulysses" published in 1960.
