A few weeks ago I shared the start of my sketchbookproject, which using the theme, 'Under Water' I have developed using Gelli Printing and watercolor and referencing the wonderful Pondlife by Sally Warring. All I now have to do is stick it back together and post it to Brooklyn . . . and then start my second. Here are some of the pictures from this first book.
These are LOVELY!!! I especially love the pink one! :) e

ReplyDeleteI want to learn how you do this.
ReplyDeleteAn infinite and exciting world that you show us sensitively !
ReplyDeleteWould you describe the process?
ReplyDeleteHello Sharon
DeleteI have used this technique extensively over the last few years but haven't made many blog posts about it. However here is an early one with instructions. http://theartroomplant.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/Gelatin%20Plate
If you have any further questions please get in touch. I will try to share some of my other projects soon.
Hello Hazel,
ReplyDeleteI'm not able to find this posting. When you share some other projects maybe you can briefly describe your process. I have done gelatin printing but I used acrylics. Just curious about this as I would imagine the paint beads up and how to prevent it?!
I use household emulsion (those little trial pots?) I have never had any problems with the paint beading up.
DeleteI found it! Thank you!! Anything you want to add, I will look forward to reading about!!
