Today I travelled up to Dundee and visited my favourite art space the DCA and Kate V Robertson's first solo exhibition 'This mess is kept afloat'. Kate has created a modern mosaic on the floor with materials such as concrete, eggshell, resin and paper cast in 'disposable' containers. As you tentatively step forward onto this fragile art piece you exploring ideas of dysfunction, instability, waste and decay in a multi sensory experience where you can feel the art through your feet, listen to its erosion while enjoying its muted pastel patterns and visually research how it was created.
