Bill and Bonnie Rutherford


I am really enjoying a whole new collection of vintage books. This version of Edward Lear's 'Owl and the Pussy Cat' is delightfully illustrated by Bill and Bonnie Rutherford with the illustrations virtually dancing across the spreads.

    I find there is so much more personality packed into Owl's rendering than in Cats - is it the eyes?

      Yes I think you are right Julie, the owls eyes are much more expressive and mobile.
