Phoebe Roze I

Phoebe (Jones) Roze's book written in rhyme recounting the story of Angus MacAskill, a man from Uist who was known as Scotland's last true giant. Phoebe Roze has just graduated from Dundee's Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in illustration.
"My work encompasses memories of childhood and is strongly influenced by the area I grew up in, allowing me to create narratives in the form of books and sequential images. I’m interested in Gaelic history and local culture and enjoy using a combination of skills, such as drawing, printmaking and ceramics, to create objects and images which lead the viewer into a fantastical and playful version of the past." Phoebe Roze
